"Actually, I can" is temporarily tattooed on my wrist as a reminder.

Priority Environmental, LLC, celebrated its one-year anniversary this month. Its sole owner, Deanna Atkinson, began her journey in environmental consulting long before founding Priority Environmental. Previously, she served as the president of Oklahoma Environmental Services.

Her leadership extended further as she was elected chairman of the Oklahoma Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association (OPMCA), consistently demonstrating her belief in active industry participation.

Deanna’s commitment to excellence shines through in all her endeavors. One of her proudest achievements is authoring a patent for surfactant flushes utilizing a mobile dual-phase extraction system. Additionally, she contributed her expertise to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s Storage Tank Advisory Committee.

With 25 years of industry experience, Deanna Atkinson founded Priority Environmental with a clear mission: to provide hands-on, expert guidance to clients while ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting common-sense solutions. Her dedication to her craft and passion for customer service have been the driving forces behind the company's success.

Returning to her project management roots, Deanna serves as a licensed environmental consultant and storage tank remover, bringing her wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project. Her commitment to hands-on involvement is a hallmark of Priority Environmental's approach, ensuring each client receives personalized attention and tailored solutions.

Specializing in the petroleum storage tank industry, Priority Environmental offers a comprehensive range of services, including:

- Petroleum storage tank removals

- Management of Leaking Underground Storage Tank Indemnity Fund cases

- Soil and groundwater remediation

- Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments

Living the good life on a farm east of Oklahoma City, Deanna and her husband of 42 years enjoy the peace and tranquility of rural Oklahoma. They are proud parents of three adult children: two reside near Chicago, Illinois, and one in London, England. The recent expansion of Priority Environmental to Illinois in 2024 allows Deanna to combine business trips with visits to their grandson, Owen.

Deanna and her husband are active members of St. Thomas More University Parish in Norman, Oklahoma.

Looking to the future, Deanna Atkinson envisions continued growth and expansion for Priority Environmental, LLC. "Our first year has been incredible, and I am deeply grateful to our team and clients for their support. We are just getting started," says Deanna. "We will continue to strive for excellence and make a positive impact on the petroleum storage tank community."
