Preparing For a Tank Removal

Finding the right contractor is often the most challenging part of any project. Fortunately, for petroleum storage tank removals or environmental consulting, the regulatory agency provides a list of licensed professionals—available under Licenses.

While we hope you’ll consider Priority Environmental, LLC as your licensed consultant, there are many qualified contractors listed for both removals and consulting services. Once you’ve selected a contractor and scheduled a removal date, they will file a Notice of Intended Activity with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s (OCC) Petroleum Storage Tank Division (PSTD). This notice must be submitted at least 14 days in advance, unless the situation qualifies as an emergency.

After submission, the OCC PSTD will issue a confirmation notice that includes a unique tracking number for your scheduled removal, along with detailed procedures for tank closure. As the tank owner, you can access this notice and all related documents through your PSTD portal.

Priority Environmental, LLC is fully licensed as both a UST remover and environmental consultant, and we work closely with licensed excavators throughout Oklahoma. If you're considering the removal of underground or aboveground petroleum storage tanks, we’d be glad to help you explore your options—just give us a call!
